Woolworths Freddies Farm: all 18 minis and how to complete the farm

Woolworths Freddies Farm was the 2022 Woolworths collectable: 18 farmyard minis, led by Freddie the Farmer himself. It is a small set, which makes it a good first collection for younger kids - but small sets still have a last-few problem. Here is the full line-up and how to finish it now that the promotion is long over.

The 18 Freddies Farm minis

The set is Freddie and his farm. Our list splits it into three kinds:

  • Freddie the Farmer (#1) - the star of the set, and the mini we see least often.
  • Four shiny foil animals - #2 Daisy the Cow, #6 Hugo the Horse, #9 Rex the Sheepdog and #17 Tilly the Turkey.
  • Thirteen standard animals - including Clucky the Chicken, Percy the Pig, Whiskers the Cat, Roly the Rabbit, Rocky the Rooster, Gus the Goose and Dumpy the Donkey.

The full numbered list, with a picture of each mini, is on our Woolworths Freddies Farm checklist. The names are a big part of the fun for small children - many are alliterative, like Percy the Pig and Gus the Goose, which makes the set easy to learn and to ask for.

Why a small set still leaves gaps

Eighteen sounds easy. But collectables that come at random follow a curve that catches everyone out. If all 18 minis were equally likely, you would expect to open about 63 minis to collect the whole farm. The first 14 different animals come in about 25 of those; the last 4 take around 38 more, because by then almost every mini you open is a double.

In practice Freddie and the four foil animals turn up less often than the standard ones in our experience, so the real number is higher. If your farm has stalled a few short of 18, check whether the gaps are the farmer and the shiny animals - they usually are.

How to finish the farm

  • Line them up. Kids love this part: put the whole farm out on a table and tick each one off against the checklist. It quickly shows what is missing - and which animals you have three of.
  • Ask other Woolies families. Plenty of households collected this set in 2022 and have a bag of spares in a drawer.

Keeping the minis looking good

The foil animals are the ones that show wear first - their shine scratches if they are thrown in a toy box with everything else. Keep a set you want to hold on to in a small tub or egg box, one animal per space, and let the doubles do the playing. A soft dry cloth is enough to take the dust off; avoid soaking them or using cleaning sprays.
