Collectaboks 2026: card list, Ace cards and digital album

Updated 20 October 2026 · by the Swappies team

Collectaboks are back. Pick n Pay's second edition of its Springbok rugby cards went live on 19 October 2026 with 67 new-look cards - the Springbok men, the Springbok Women for the first time, and Bok legends - plus six ultra-rare holographic Ace cards that each win a prize. Here is the full Collectaboks 2026 list, how to get the cards, how to load them onto the digital album, and how to finish the set.

You will see the name written every possible way - Collectaboks, Collect-a-Boks, Collect a Bok, Collectabok, even Collect a Book. They are all the same thing: the Pick n Pay Springbok cards, given away free with your shopping.

How to get Collectaboks cards

  1. Spend R500 or more in one shop at Pick n Pay supermarkets, Pick n Pay Hypermarkets or on Pick n Pay asap!, and swipe your Smart Shopper card. You get a pack of three cards.
  2. Grab bonus packs on participating deals. The campaign's sponsors include Dove, Kellogg's Noodles, Rhodes, Coca-Cola, OMO, Monster, Powerade, Bonaqua and Klipdrift - the deals change, so check the Collectaboks page on pnp.co.za.
  3. Collect, swop and complete the set - in the R79.99 album or the free digital album.

You cannot choose which cards you get - every pack is a surprise, which is why the last few cards are always the hard part (more on that below).

What is on the new-look cards

The 2026 cards are a big step up from last year's. Each one has an action photo, the player's signature, their position, and a stats panel with height, weight, school, Test caps, tries and points - the school is on the cards for the first time. Legends carry a gold LEGEND badge. Two of the cards Pick n Pay showed at launch:

  • Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, fly-half: 1.85m, 90kg, Bishops Diocesan College, 19 caps, 9 tries, 172 points.
  • Libbie Janse van Rensburg, fly-half for the Springbok Women: 1.78m, 72kg, Tyger Valley College, 20 caps, 14 tries, 215 points.

The third launch card is legend Patrick Lambie (Michaelhouse, 56 caps). Other legends in the set include Bryan Habana, John Smit, Jean de Villiers and Duane Vermeulen.

The gold Siya Kolisi and the silver 100 caps cards

Last year's chase card was the gold Rassie Erasmus. This year it is a gold Siya Kolisi. There are also two limited-edition silver cards marking Siya Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth reaching 100 Test caps. All three are part of the 67, are much harder to pull than a normal player card, and are the cards to keep in a sleeve rather than loose in a school bag.

The Ace cards: 6 holographic prize cards

Hidden among the packs are six exclusive holographic Ace cards, one for each headline sponsor: Dove, Kellogg's Instant Noodles, Rhodes, OMO, Monster Energy and Klipdrift. They are extremely rare, and every Ace card wins the person who finds it a prize. To claim one:

  1. Open the Pick n Pay asap! app and select the Smart Shopper tab.
  2. Open the Collectaboks album and go to the Win tab.
  3. Enter your Ace card code to reveal and claim your prize.

The Ace cards are prize cards, not part of the 67, so you do not need one to complete the album.

The Collectaboks digital album: how to load your cards

The free digital album lives in the Pick n Pay app (asap!), under the Smart Shopper tab. Every card has a unique code on the back: open the Collectaboks album and add the code, and the card appears in your digital album. The album is upgraded this year with interactive features that bring the players to life. Load your cards as you go, so the digital album always shows exactly which cards you still need.

How much shopping does it take to finish?

If the 64 normal cards were all equally common, you would expect to open about 304 cards to see all 64 - about 101 packs, or roughly R50,000 of shopping at one pack per R500, before you even count the gold and silver cards. The first 54 different cards take about 116 cards on average; the last 10 take about 188 more, because by then nearly every card you open is a double. That is what swapping and buying singles are for.

Finishing your Collectaboks album

  • Make a list of your gaps. Our checklist lets you tick off what you have and see what is left.
  • Go to a swap day. Saturdays 10:00 to 12:00 at participating Pick n Pay stores, while the campaign runs.
  • Buy the exact cards you need. We sell single Springbok cards and deliver anywhere in South Africa.
  • Sell us your doubles. We buy Collectaboks cards. Send one parcel of spares rather than a card at a time.

Collectaboks questions

How many Pick n Pay Springbok cards are there in 2026?

67 cards: 32 Springbok men, 18 Springbok Women, 14 legends, a gold Siya Kolisi and two silver 100 caps cards - the album has a space for each. The six Ace cards are extra prize cards on top of the 67. (The packs themselves are printed "Second Edition - 70 cards to collect", while Pick n Pay's campaign and the album count 67.)

When does Collectaboks end?

6 December 2026, or earlier if the cards run out - last year's campaign closed early because of demand.

Is it Collectaboks or Collect-a-Bok?

Pick n Pay prints it as COLLECTABOKS. People search for it as Collect-a-Bok, Collect a Boks, Collectabok and Collect a Book - same cards.

Where can I buy the Collectaboks album?

At Pick n Pay and on asap! for R79.99 while stocks last. The second edition album has a checklist inside. The digital album in the Pick n Pay app is free.

Are Springbok cards worth money?

On Swappies a 2026 player card is R40 and a 2025 first-edition card R20. The gold and silver cards are worth far more because so few are printed: we list last year's gold Rassie Erasmus at R500. An unclaimed Ace card carries a prize, so it is worth at least that prize.

Can I buy single Springbok cards?

Yes - every card we have in stock is on the Collectaboks 2026 checklist, and we deliver anywhere in South Africa.
