Panini World Cup 2026 sticker album guide: checklist, foils, Extra stickers and cost to complete

The Panini FIFA World Cup 2026 album is the biggest Panini has ever made. With 48 teams at the tournament instead of 32, the checklist runs to 1,190 stickers once you count the foils, the update set and the 80 Extra stickers. Here is how it is put together, and what it really takes to fill it.

How the album is built

Each of the 48 teams gets its own pages, with stickers numbered by team code - ALG for Algeria, CRO for Croatia and so on - rather than one long running number. That makes it easy to see at a glance which teams you have finished, and to write a missing list anyone at a swap can read.

There is also an update set - stickers printed after the original album, which collectors count as part of the full checklist. On our checklist every sticker is marked with the printing it came from, so you can tell an original from an update.

Foils and Extra stickers

The 68 shiny foil stickers are part of the album, and they turn up less often than the standard ones. The 80 Extra stickers are different: they are chase stickers of the biggest names, printed in four finishes - purple, bronze, silver and gold - and they sit outside the main album checklist. Gold is the hardest to find. Collectors who want everything count them; most people finish the album first and chase Extras afterwards.

What it really costs to complete

Leave the Extras aside and there are 1,110 album stickers. If every one were equally likely, you would expect to open about 8,400 stickers to find them all. The first 80% of the album comes in fairly quickly - roughly 1,800 stickers - and the last 20% takes around 6,600 more, because by then almost everything you open is a double. Foils being scarcer only makes that tail longer.

That is why nobody finishes a World Cup album from packets alone. The collectors who get there open packets until the doubles pile up, swap hard, and then buy the last hundred or so as singles. Tips from people who have finished one

• Write your missing list by team code. "ALG 10, CRO 11" is quicker to check at a swap than a list of names, and it pastes straight into our checklist.
• Do not stick doubles in. A clean double is worth something to someone else; a peeled one is worth nothing.
• Swap before the final. Demand for doubles falls away fast once the tournament is over.
• Leave the Extras for last. They are not part of the album, and the gold ones in particular can swallow a budget.
