Panini Fortnite Black Frame and Golden Frame Stickers

Panini made two Fortnite sticker albums that collectors often confuse: the Black Frame Series from 2020 and the Golden Frame Series from 2022. The frame colour around each sticker is the easiest way to tell them apart, and it matters, because the numbers in one album mean nothing in the other.

Black Frame or Golden Frame - which one do you have?

Look at the border printed around the sticker. Black Frame stickers belong in the 2020 album; Golden Frame stickers belong in the 2022 album. The two sets are numbered separately, so a sticker 106 from one album will not fit the space 106 in the other. If you have a mixed pile from an older brother or sister, sort by frame colour first and only then by number.

The Black Frame Series (2020)

Our Black Frame Series checklist has 368 numbers. Of those, 320 are standard stickers, 32 are holographic and 16 are rainbow foil. The album is organised into themed pages - the seasons from Season 1 to Season X, Weapons of Choice, Going Places, Cool Things to Do on the Island, and outfit groups such as Dino Guard, Scallywags, Fort Knights and Western Wilds.

Two things catch people out with this set:

Some numbers are more than one sticker. Many numbers are two or three small stickers printed on one backing. They count as one number in the album, and we sell them whole, still on the backing. A number with an A and B part, such as Weapons of Choice 221, is one item.
The rainbow foils are the hard ones. In our catalogue the 16 rainbow foil stickers are the scarcest in the set - the two opening Black Frame Series foils, the Lazy Lake and Weeping Woods map foils, and several of the Weapons of Choice foils. The 32 holographic stickers come next.

The Golden Frame Series (2022)

Our Golden Frame Series checklist has 248 stickers. By far the largest section is 100 Outfits, with 132 stickers. The rest of the album is split into smaller sections:

Some Golden Frame stickers are parts of a larger picture - sticker 1 is a puzzle piece, for example - so a missing piece leaves a visible hole on the page. Those are worth tracking down even if you are not a completist.

Finishing either album now

Both albums are several years old, and new packets are not something you can count on finding on a South African shelf. That leaves two routes: swapping with other collectors, and buying exactly the numbers you are missing. Swapping is cheapest, so start there - but for the foils and the last dozen gaps, singles save a lot of frustration.

Sort your stickers by frame colour, then by number.
Write down every missing number for each album separately.

Selling your Fortnite stickers

We buy both series. When you ask for a quote, list each number with its condition. Stickers that are still on their backing, unbent and unmarked, are the ones collectors want; a sticker that has been peeled off and stuck down again is graded Played and earns only a tenth of the Mint price. For the multi-sticker numbers, send the whole backing - a split piece is not the complete number.

Keeping them in good shape

Leave spare stickers on their backing, keep them flat between two pieces of card, and store them out of the sun so the foils do not fade or curl. If you are collecting other sets too, browse all our collections.
